We would see to it that you got justice, President of GFA on attack on referee. He made this comment while paying a visit to Mohammed Sakina Nasara, the female referee who was attacked last Saturday in Tamale during a women’s Division One League game.
The female referee was treated at the Tamale Technical University Hospital and later released, with Iddrisu Napara, the offender, still being held in police custody.
Mr. Okraku comforted the referee about the difficulty she encountered last week and praised the female official for her commitment to the game.

“I know that since the incident, the Regional Football Association has been very helpful, but I also stopped over to physically support you.
“We would make sure that you received justice, working with the Ghana Police Service.
“I want to express my gratitude for your commitment to and contribution to football. Many people are deterred by these kinds of sad football-related incidents, but we are dedicated to righting the wrongs, Mr. Okraku stated.
Alhaji Hassan Rhyzzo, the chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association, and John Ansah, a member of the Safety and Security Committee, were with Mr. Okraku.
Others included Henry Asante Twum, the director of communications, and Eugene Nobel, a member of the Division One League Board.
