Police detain alleged armed robbers from Aputuogya in “Demon Town”. In the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region, two accused robbers, dubbed “Demon Town” and his accomplice from Aputuogya, who were seen in a viral video threatening to stab anyone who opposed attempts to take stuff from him, have been taken into custody.

In response to a tip, members of the Kuntenase District Police Patrol team stormed a home in Aputuogya that was thought to be the residence of the two suspects in the widely shared video, according to a police situational report that MyNewsGh.com was able to view.

The police received the 23-year-old suspect Ibrahim Mohammed from the viral video, which was taken from the residence by the locals who had conducted an earlier raid.

During questioning, the suspect stated that he resides in Madina, Accra, but is originally from Adansi Fomena Kusa. The other suspect in the video, Kwame Sarpong, who is a distant relative, extended an invitation to the suspect a month earlier, according to the suspect.

The police have captured his accomplice, who was unemployed and on the run.

The owner of the home where the suspects were kept will be questioned, according to the police.
