Bawumia wins hands-down at NPP Headquarters


Bawumia wins hands-down at NPP Headquarters. At the recently concluded Presidential Primaries held at the NPP Party headquarters at Asylum Down in Accra, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia prevailed with a larger vote total.

One of the locations where the party hosted the delegates’ conference for card-carrying NPP members who are Ministers and/or founder members was the Party Headquarters.

Former president John Agyekum Kufuor was set to vote, but he did not show up. 204 delegates were expected to cast their ballots in his place.

He has not yet disclosed the cause for his abstention or inability to cast a ballot.

With 107 votes, Dr. Bawumia received more than half of the vote; his closest rival, Alan Kyeremanten, received 25 votes.
